Kraken is a US-based crypto exchange founded in 2011 and run by parent company Payward.

Kraken listed HYPE for spot trading (HYPE/USD, HYPE/EUR) on 28 January 2026 and added HYPE staking and Auto Earn on 3 June 2026. It has registered a Hyperliquid validator named "Kraken", currently jailed and inactive with about 10,000 HYPE self-stake.

On 16 September 2026 Payward announced plans for US perpetual futures on Hyperliquid via HIP-3, with its Bitnomial unit deploying permissioned markets. The plan is pending regulatory approval.
